Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is associated with changes in the gut microbiota (GM) composition and with memory deficits. The link between the two phenomena are currently not well understood. Our project aims at filling this gap by performing colonisation of young adult mice with AD patients GM to better understand the role of the AD GM for AD-associated memory decline and test the therapeutic pro-memory potential of microbiota derived therapeutic interventions.
