Project context and summary:

Preliminary data shows that early-life MC activation drives choroid plexus (CP) activation and long term cognitive impairment. To investigate the role of CP activation, we have developed a model in which mast cells are activated but the subsequent response from the CP is inhibited. To investigate the molecular effects of this phenomena, we will focus on the hippocampus, the center for memory formation.
