The m-CONNECT project aims to improve our understanding of the role of connectivity between coral reefs, mangroves, and seagrass beds in providing essential ecosystem services, as well as the ecological and socioeconomic consequences of changes affecting these systems. In addition to its scientific aspects, this project aims to develop methods and guidelines for monitoring these meta-ecosystems and to support integrated approaches to conservation, restoration, and management, developed jointly with local communities, policymakers, and other governance stakeholders at the local, national, and regional levels.
