Project context and summary:

The goal of the project is to discover and understand tissue (cardiac, liver, muscle) stress responses that result from primary mitochondrial defects in preclinical transgenic mouse models of disease. Using bulk RNAseq, we will explore the transcriptional remodeling that occurs across various mouse models that the impact that biologicla sex has on these resposes. Bulk RNAseq data will be compared to proteomics data and physiological measurements made in the lab. We therefore do not require any additional assay developments or pipelines beyond what is actually in place.
