Epithelial cells respond to infection by the intracellular bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis by modifying their transcriptome. By combining this transcriptional signature and the use of mutant bacteria we aim to better understand the mechanism by which some bacterial proteins manipulate the host response to infection.
