Project context and summary:

N.meningitidis is a strictly human Gram-negative pathogen leading to severe sepsis and bacterial meningitis despite available antibiotic therapies. In this project, we will elucidate and characterize N. meningitidis genes necessary for vascular colonization, a pivotal step in infection. A TnSeq approach will be conducted in a human skin xenograft in vivo model.
