This project aims at better understanding the function of a fungal-specific transcriptional regulator on the ability of the pathogenic yeast Candida albicans to express a specific virulence trait. To this aim, we will perform transcript profiling analyses by RNA-Seq of a C. albicans strain overexpressing this transcription factor compared to a control strain (no overexpression) and define its regulon using subsequent complementary approaches (e.g. ChIP-Seq).
