#6030 : Investigation of chromosomal DNA transfer between mycobacterial strains
Topics: Genomics (Illumina)
Origin: IP
Project type: Service

Project context and summary:

Mycobacteria have a unique form of chromosomal DNA transfer otherwise known as distributive conjugal transfer (DCT). This project aims to study the molecular factors that are responsible for the uptake of chromosomal DNA in slow growing, pathogenic mycobacteria by sequencing the genomes of putative recombinants.
