Project context and summary:

The income of new variants of SARS-CoV-2 raises the question of the risk of emergence of viral sub-populations in the face of pressures for environmental and or therapeutic selections.
In this study, we propose to decipher in vivo the appearance diversification and/or the expansion of viral subpopulations within the genome of SARS CoV-2 as a consequence of treatment done in collaboration with Hugo Mouquet with immunoglobulins (IgG or IgA) in a hamster model. For this aim, RNAs will be extracted from the lungs of infected animals treated or not with different types of immunoglobulin and will be sequenced by NGS in order in particular but not exclusively to highlight possible mutations emerging within the gene for the spike protein.
