Collaboration with:NEW CALEDONIA
Project context and summary: New Caledonia is one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots, with an average endemism level of 74%. It is renowned worldwide for being the home of unique ancient plant lineages and also of metallophyte plant species. The goal of the persent project is to dissect the bacterial composition of the microbial assemblages that do naturally occur in association with specific plant species, namely Amborella trichopoda, the sister of all flowering plants and metallophytes that do eitheir resist or hyperaccumulate Nickel or Manganese.
