The aim of this project is to synthesise a library of anti-Staphylococcus aureus phthalides that are even more effective and have little (or no) impact on the predominant bacteria of the skin microbiota. These molecules will be solubilised in two or three dermatologically compatible MiNaCs, which will have been selected and prepared at the SIMBA Research Unit.
This project also aims to characterize the molecular target of phthalides in order to uncover the mechanism of action against MRSA.
