This project aims to sequence the genomes of two Aedes aegypti lines carrying mutations in the TRPA1 gene, along with their parental ORL line, to confirm the successful integration of a knock‑in ECFP insert within the TRPA1 locus. Whole‑genome sequencing data will be analyzed to verify the presence, sequence integrity, and genomic location of the ECFP insertion, as well as to ensure the absence of unintended modifications elsewhere in the genome. This validation step is essential to confirm the genetic identity of the mutant lines and support their use in downstream functional studies.
