Project context and summary:

Bacterial leaf blight (BB) of rice, caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo), threatens global food security and the livelihood of small-scale rice producers. The plant microbiome harbours microorganisms that can benefit plant health and provide alternatives to the use of agrochemicals. We sampled healthy and leaf-diseased plants in rice fields with disease incidence in order to explore the diversity of the microbiome.
