Project context and summary:

This project is organized in the frame of a Summer School organized by the Sino-French program of Evry university. Students in second year of Licence of biology went in Fontainebleau forest to collect water from three different ponds, at five differents spots per ponds. Samples were carried back in laboratory for measurement of chemical and physical parameters, microscopy studies and microbiology analysis. Students also extracted environmental DNA from water samples.
We aim to identify macro and micro-organisms populating the ponds using metabar coding DNA sequencing and confirmation by PCR. These project will be repeated over ten years to investigate the effect of climate change on these populations.
