Project context and summary:

We have discovered a family of compounds naturally produced by Actinobacteria to fight phage infection.
To explore the antiviral mechanism of action of these compounds, we follow different cultures over time after infection in order to understand what viral processes are blocked by the anti-phage compounds. We would like to quantify the amounts of phage DNA over time, in order to assess if the compounds are involved in blocking phage DNA entry or replication.
