Project context and summary:

We have created a panel of inbred lines for the mosquito Aedes aegypti by repeated single-pair, brother-sister matings over multiple generations. We now aim to assess the result of the inbreeding procedure at the genomic level. We plan to perform whole-genome sequencing by Illumina pool-seq to compare the original wild mosquito population from French Guiana and the current generation of the inbred lines.
