Services
The Biomics Platform is the C2RT structure at Institut Pasteur for Next Generation Sequencing short and long-read technologies. You will find all the detailed information on our services and processes on
the Biomics website.
Resources and mission
The mission of the Biomics Platform is to facilitate scientific discovery within the network of the Institut Pasteur and academic research institutes. Biomics accepts all type of projects and works closely with the C3BI and the DSI to provide data analysis and storage solutions for researchers. The members of the Biomics platform provide advice on the implementation of projects that applicants can choose or not to follow. In the second case, The Biomics platform reserves the right not to publish any results derived from these results.
Publication Policy
The Wet-Lab, Dry-Lab and Support-Lab activities (Sample QC, library, choice of technology, sequencing, design, tools, softwares and bioinformatic analysis) represent a significant amount of time for Biomics staff. This expertise is central to our services and integral to the successful execution of your scientific project.
All publication that derived from a Biomics project should at least integrate the following formal acknowledgment at the end of the article* : “Names Surnames, Biomics Platform, C2RT, Institut Pasteur, Paris, France, supported by France Génomique (ANR-10-INBS-09) and IBISA.”
*A good-faith discussion about authorship will take place based on the implication of Biomics staff.
Data Storage Policy
RAW data is stored and archived at Biomics for at most 5 years (data transfert is free of charge for 2 years). A contribution to the cost of disk space is included into the quote. Applicants agree that their data could be used for internal development projects. Please download our Data Management Plan :
Biomics_DMP
Biological Sample Storage Notes
Researchers should specify how they wish any remaining biological material to be handled after the project has finished if not samples will be destroyed by Biomics after 1 year.
Human Samples:
IMPORTANT: Applicants hereby confirm that they are in possession of all necessary authorizations for analysis of samples.
