Project context and summary:

Both knowledge and antivirals are needed to control virus emergence, like SARS-CoV-2. RIG-I-like receptors (RLRs) play a major role in sensing RNA virus infection to initiate and modulate antiviral immunity. We study SARS-CoV-2 RNA ligands of RLRs. The results of our study should provide knowledge to explain innate immune response to SARS-CoV-2, including detrimental immune response, strategies for designing broad-spectrum antivirals and vaccine adjuvants.
